Refund Policy

Refunds, replacements, and cancellations

Because every My Dream Colors book is custom-made and personalized for your child, our refund policy depends on the product type and where your order is in the production process.

Digital orders ($14.99)

Before PDF is generated:

Full refund available. Contact us to cancel.

After PDF is generated and delivered:

Refunds are not available. Digital products cannot be "returned" once the download link has been provided. You have the opportunity to preview your book before checkout.

Printed orders ($29.99 / $39.99)

Before submitted to printer:

Full refund available. Contact us to cancel before the book enters print production.

In print production (not yet shipped):

We will attempt to cancel with our print partner, but cancellation is not guaranteed once production has begun. If cancellation succeeds, a full refund will be issued.

After the book has shipped:

Refunds are not available for shipped orders. Each book is a one-of-a-kind product custom-printed for your child and cannot be restocked or resold.

Damaged or defective books

If your printed book arrives damaged, has missing pages, or has significant print defects (e.g., smeared ink, blank pages, wrong content), we will send a free replacement at no cost to you.

To request a replacement, email hello@mydreamcolors.com within 30 days of receiving your book with:

  • Your order ID
  • A photo showing the damage or defect
  • A brief description of the issue

We will review your request and, if approved, reprint and reship your book at no charge. Minor variations in color or print quality that are inherent to the print-on-demand process are not considered defects.

Lost packages

If your package tracking shows delivery but you did not receive your book, or if the package appears lost in transit (no tracking updates for 14+ days), contact us. We will work with our shipping partner to investigate and, if the package is confirmed lost, send a free replacement.

Wrong shipping address

If you provided an incorrect shipping address and the book has already shipped, we cannot redirect or recall the package. You are responsible for providing accurate shipping information at checkout. If the package is returned to our print partner as undeliverable, we can reship to a corrected address for a reduced fee covering shipping costs only.

Dissatisfaction with AI-generated content

We provide character previews and page previews before you pay, giving you the opportunity to review the AI-generated artwork and request re-rolls if you're not satisfied. Once you approve the previews and complete payment, the content is considered accepted.

We understand AI generation isn't perfect. If you're unhappy with the final result despite having approved the previews, please contact us. While we can't guarantee a refund in this case, we'll do our best to make it right — whether that's regenerating specific pages, offering a discount on a future order, or finding another solution.

How to request a refund

Email hello@mydreamcolors.com with your order ID and reason for the request. We aim to respond within 1-2 business days.

Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method via Stripe and typically appear within 5-10 business days depending on your bank.
